Turkey

Our turkeys are raised almost identically to our broilers. They start off in the brooder for about three weeks - heated with fresh, dry shavings daily. Then from three weeks on they spend their whole life on green pasture. They are also supplemented with non-GMO grain. As "teenage" poults they are in turkey tractors to help contain them. We've found they like to get tangled in the poultry fencing until they're sufficiently big enough to not attempt escaping through it. As they get bigger, we let them fully free range. They have about half acre fenced in and we rotate this area to give them fresh ground. This also helps cut down on parasites.

We process the birds ourselves. Giblets come stuffed inside your turkey and include heart, liver, and neck. We take reservations for folks Thanksgiving dinners starting in late August. If interested in wholesale, please contact us.
